Terms of use
Last updated 2 October 2026
Mock O'Clock is a free practice tool. These terms say what it is, what it is not, and what we ask of you.
Who provides the service
Mock O’Clock is operated by an individual, Ezequiel Farioli, as a personal project. It is not provided by a company. Contact: mockoclock.app@gmail.com.
A portfolio project
Mock O’Clock is a portfolio project, not a finished commercial service. It is offered as it is, and you use it at your own discretion. It may change, lose data (including your accounts and attempts), be reset or be switched off at any time without notice. Do not rely on it for anything important, and do not enter information you would not want stored.
This does not affect the commitments in the privacy notice about how we handle your data.
Unofficial
Mock O’Clock is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Cambridge University Press & Assessment. “Cambridge English”, “B1 Preliminary”, “B2 First” and “C1 Advanced” are used only to describe the exams the practice material is modelled on, and belong to their owners. All exam texts and tasks here are original or generated; they are not Cambridge past papers.
Scores and feedback are estimates
Estimated Cambridge English Scale scores, grades and Writing feedback are unofficial estimates produced automatically by this tool. They can be wrong and they do not predict your result in a real exam. Do not rely on them for any decision about entering an exam, applying for a course or a job, or visa purposes.
Using the service
- You may use it for your own study. Signing in is for people aged 13 or over.
- Writing needs a free account and is limited to one attempt per account per calendar month. We may change this limit.
- When an AI writes the Writing feedback, that feedback is for people aged 18 or over, and you confirm that before you start. Reading exams are open to everyone.
- Do not use bots or scripts, overload the service, try to get around limits or the timer, or try to access other people’s data.
- Do not write unlawful or abusive content, or other people’s personal details, in your essays.
- Do not copy or republish the exam content in bulk.
Your writing
What you write remains yours. By submitting it you allow us to process it to grade it and show you the result, which may involve sending it to the grading service named in the privacy notice. See the privacy notice for how it is handled.
Availability and changes
The service is free and provided as it is. It may be slow, unavailable, changed or withdrawn at any time, and we do not promise that it will be free of errors, including errors in questions, answers and explanations. If you find one, please tell us. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms. You can delete your own account at any time in Settings.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or affects your statutory rights. Subject to that, because the service is free, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of it, including exam results or lost study time.
Law and changes to these terms
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. We may update them; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
